The City of Greenwood contains approximately 515 acres of forestland in which approximately 474 acres are classified as "upland forest" and 41 acres are classified as forested wetlands. All of the forestland in the city is privately owned. As of 2001, approximately 0.3 acres of private forestland in the city was enrolled in the WDNR Managed Forest Law program.
