Latest version.

The most predominant soil association in the city is the Loyal-Kert-Withee association. These are silty soils found on moraines and uplands. The southwestern corner of the city contains soils from the Flambeau-Fall Creek-Merrillan association. These are loamy soils found on moraines and uplands. Information on soils was obtained from the United Stated Department of Agriculture, 1993 Soil Mapping.
