§ 6.7. Desired Economic Development

Latest version.
  • Like most communities in Clark County, the City of Greenwood would welcome most economic opportunities that do not sacrifice community character or add a disproportionate level of city services per taxes gained. The categories or particular types of new businesses and industries that are desired by the City of Greenwood are identified within the city's economic goals and objectives. The city has identified three locations for future industrial development. The Clark Electric Industrial Park, Map 6-1, is located on the city's west side south of CTH G. Another industrial area is located on the east side of the city adjacent Weather Shield Windows Incorporated. Vacant land exists in this area to also accommodate any future economic development. The largest identified industrial area is on the city's northeast side, however no improvements (i.e. public water, sewer) have been extended to the area. Most commercial development exists and is planned along the STH 73 corridor.
